Create Matriarchy While Healing Yourself and Others

Hint: It starts with gathering with other women in circles

Now, I want to talk about something I keep seeing in women’s psychedelic and healing spaces.

So many of us are doing beautiful work.

We are hosting circles, guiding journeys, offering integration, working as facilitators, writing books, building programs, dreaming up retreats, creating ethical and relational spaces for healing.

And yet so many of us are still creating alone, even though we love the ideals of matriarchy, community building, and skill-sharing.

We post our events and ideas in busy chats or on social media, and then everything gets buried five minutes later. We meet in one-off networking events and conferences and get excited, but then there is no follow-up, no central location to reconnect.

I keep wondering what would it look like to create a more organized, beautiful, women-led matriarchal ecosystem where we could actually find each other, support each other, grow together, meeting online and in person?

Substack lives are nice and all, but there’s very little interaction. What if you could actually talk to some of these amazing writers you see here? Make friends with these brilliant women, network, build something together? Wouldn’t that be fun, interesting, amazing??

I’m not looking to build a stand-alone coaching program…or a space where one person has to be the little red hen doing all the work, where only one woman is the guide at podium holding the mircrophone.

I’m imagining an online gathering place, an ecosystem that feels comforting, a collective of women’s circles, an event hub, a referral network, an incubation space, a sacred community hearth where we share our struggles, worries, fears, strengths…where we encourage each other to KEEP ON GOING, no matter what. No matter how nasty little voice inside your head gets.

A place where women new to plant medicine can ask questions and find integration support.

A place where healers, coaches, therapists, herbalists, tarot readers, medicine women, and circle holders can host circles, test offerings, cross-promote, network, collaborate, and connect with other leaders AND participants - women who are looking for healing, guidance, who want to know more about plant medicine and the psychedelic renaissance.

I’m dreaming up a sacred space where experienced elders and practitioners can mentor, teach, and help one another - where everyone is both student and teacher, where the lines are blurred and we all gain together…something to counteract the patriachal bullshit going on right out there.

A place where we stop competing for visibility and start cross-pollinating, creating new modalities together, building a bigger women’s movement, weaving wrap-around care for your clients AND for yourself.

To me, this is matriarchy in practice: Shared care. Shared resources. Shared visibility. Shared leadership. Multiple voices woven together like a chorus versus a solo performance.

I’m building Sunrise Sisterhood Collective with this vision in mind, and I’m looking for women who want to help shape it. The pillars of this ecosystem being

• Radical Self-Love: all the personal healing modalities

• Sisterhood: sangha, community, matriarchy - because the time of the lone wolf is over

• Expanded Consciousness: psychedelics, plant medicine, etc - because we need new holistic perspectives ASAP, and these sacraments act both as microscope and telescope.

• Service: to each other, to the planet, to our children, to the next generations. We both give and receive here…because service is a potent form of healing.

• Social Justice: collective healing - keeping in mind marginalized communities, other countries, remembering that policies, wars, societal problems do matter and affect lives on all levels.

I’m looking for founders, circle holders, collaborators, mentors, dreamers, builders, women who want to build a legacy, matriarchy, a women’s movement - not just a program, a product, a “6-figure business” or $10K months.

You don’t have to have to be perfect, a finished product, 100% ready to offer your gifts, your voice, your ideas, your energy. We’ll figure it out together because we wild-hearted women are resourceful, resilient, stronger together.

That’s the point.
