Hello Beautiful Friends,
I appreciate you all so much! And I want to welcome the 200+ new subscribers! About 100 of you subscribed due to this one note:
Looking for more Substack friends,
for more women who give a crap about the state of the world,
who want to fight injustice with song, dance, art, music, poetry, prose, plant medicine…with curiosity, mystery, joy, magic...
with sisterhood, radical self-love, service…
with circles and ceremonies, while dancing around the fire...
through speaking out..through empowering each other,
through reminding each other who we truly are.
So if you want to connect, please put these events in your calendar:
Join our women’s FULL MOON COLLECTIVE gathering on Friday March 14th at 10am PT on Zoom. Info below.
Starting on International Women’s Day, Saturday, March 8th, I’ll be doing Substack Lives every day at 10am PT until March 14th. We will move into a Zoom room if there are enough of us who want to have a conversation.
In-person FULL MOON GATHERING for SF Bay Area women on March 14th at 7pm. Message me for more info if you’re local.
Reach out via my Calendly link if you want to talk one on one. No you’re not wasting my time. I want to meet other amazing women! https://calendly.com/juliesunrise/30min
I know many of you are fucking furious and scared about what’s going on right now - in America, in this world. You’re yearning for more authentic connection, to come together with other wise women who understand what you’re going through - this rage, this sorrow, these feelings of helplessness, this spiritual awakening, this midlife reckoning, building a business, caring for aging parents and/or children, working through health challenges, relationship difficulties, and the list goes on.
I know that I’ve been called to bring women together - especially healers, mothers, midlife women, and female entrepreneurs. I’ve been getting this message for a few years, ever since my first Ayahuasca ceremony. Many of you have told me that you have been getting the same message. Many of us have been preparing for this just this moment.
We can’t afford to let procrastination, people pleasing, perfectionism, distraction, denial, self-doubt, a sense of overwhelm and helplessness, busyness, feelings of unworthiness, fear of being seen hold us back any longer. Because fuck this shit!
Look at the Mango Mussolini and his not-so-merry band of billionaires; They don’t give two shits about doing it perfectly, about making mistakes, looking like fools, or hurting other people. We women who want to help heal this world need to stop gatekeeping ourselves and waiting until everything is just perfect before we take the next step in our journey.
Our children (they belong to all of us), the future generations of this planet, need us to be speaking out, coming together, sharing our gifts and our wisdom right now. It’s time to take up positions of leadership, starting by becoming the CEO’s of our own hearts, minds, bodies, lives and clearing out these bullshit self-limiting beliefs, these old false narratives that society has placed upon us. Let’s reclaim our sovereignty together. This is the most powerful form of rebellion.
I’m creating the SUNRISE SISTERHOOD COLLECTIVE so we can both fight back and have fun together. I don’t know about you but I don’t want to do another expensive mastermind right now. Not that there’s anything wrong with them but it’s not what I need at the moment while our world is crumbling. I don’t want to pay an expert thousands of dollars to tell me what to do and still feel alone at the end.
I want a community, a collective of wise women to turn to…a safe place where the sacred is highlighted, where I can find real friends, not just some guru who will listen and care about my dreams only when I pay them.
We need more reciprocity - giving and taking, teaching and learning. We need more innovation, more singing and dancing, more playing, more collective action, more bartering, more sharing, more storytelling - about who we truly are - our challenges, our talents, our dreams, our sorrows, our wishes for this world.
I want to be part of a movement, and I want to create it with you all.
I have lots of dreams but I want to hear from you all what you most want. Some ideas of mine include:
Entrepreneur Circle: Building a business is fucking hard. Maybe you’re just beginning or have been at it for 20 years. Maybe you need an accountability partner or help with marketing or building an email list. We all have expertise to share.
Dream Circle: Let’s talk about what we’re building, what we’re needing and work together to make it happen. Maybe you want to build a community garden so when the prices of food start skyrocketing, there will be other options. Maybe you want to move abroad like I did (Mexico for a year and Costa Rica for 9 months). I know there are brilliant women on this list who want to share their expertise. We could even looking into time banking apps in the future.
Social Justice Circle: Let’s phone banking and protest together. Let’s make our voices heard every day.
Midlife Circle: Let’s talk about peri/menopause and share resources about how to get through this period without causing bloodshed. (Pun intended.)
Writer’s Circle: This is Substack. Need I say more
BIPOC Circle: A group of BIPOC business owners/creators could run a group together depending on their needs. TBD by actual BIPOC women.
Network, Collaborate: Find likeminded women to create workshops, events, circles together. We’ll have a directory to see what everyone is working on.
Workshops/Classes: What do you want to teach? To learn?
In-Person Meetups: Find others in the group in your area. We will provide info on best practices to create your own local women’s circle.
Retreats: We can collaborate on and attend retreats together and make them more affordable. I’m doing a plant medicine retreat for midlife women (40+) in Costa Rica in May 2025.
Sacred Reciprocity – Members can choose to sign up to lead a one-time, weekly, or monthly session— it could be a workshop, a one-time gathering, or an ongoing circle (like a book club or social justice group or a midlife moms circle).
Others can join as participants, attending sessions that align with their journey. Most sessions will be held on Zoom and be interactive, as compared to FB or YT Lives where participants can only type questions. The circles that I run will offer many break out sessions so we can actually get to know each other.
There will be a small membership fee around $33/month (TBD) and 20% of the profits will go toward projects, programs, nonprofits to help marginalized women. For example, I have an friend who is an indigenous woman in Chiapas, Mexico where I lived for a year who has a nonprofit that helps marginalized communities to be more sustainable - build greenhouses, grow their own food, raise animals, etc. https://gofund.me/f48ac52e
I’ll still be active on Substack but I’m going to build the collective on Circles so there can be different groups/channels/chats. While I’m working on building the platform, let’s meet on Zoom and talk about what we want, what we have to offer, what would be most helpful. Let’s just get to know each other! Aren’t you tired of surface level interactions here on these apps? There are some amazing women on my subscriber list and on Substack in general! Let’s find the others and invite them in.
WHAT: Free Full Moon Circle on Zoom for women who give a fuck and want to make a difference through sisterhood.
WHY: Because many of us are feeling isolated and community is the medicine that is needed now. Because you’re ready to start a movement and fight back through joy, connection, creativity, innovation, love, reciprocity, and all the good stuff.
WHEN: Friday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. (During the full moon)
WHERE: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/85959934105?pwd=aadCKsSJT4e5tc18xIwlQ3keSQopfU.1

Women are rapidly rising and waking up right now and ready to fight for this world, and I know a lot of you want to be part of this momentum. I know women coming together will play an important part in holding back fascism in the US and in healing this world. I’m looking for wise, wild women who want to build their businesses, their communities, their dreams, their friendships through service, joy, authenticity, and real connections.
The Next Buddha will be a Sangha- Thich Nhat Hanh
I’m looking for the dreamers, the fighters, the whistle blowers, the way showers, the activists, the artists, the musicians, the healers, the ones hungry for more of what truly nourishes all of us - this love, this compassion, this joy, this kindness.
We can support each other in our dreams, in our challenges, instead of drowning alone in fear and anger and feelings of powerlessness. This is not to say that it will be easy. That we won’t have to face resistance, some demons but, hey, safety in numbers. And there are a shit ton of us now who are ready to rise up together.
WHY A WOMEN-ONLY COMMUNITY? Women need safe spaces to gather, share our stories, and empower one another. To the men reading this—I see you. I appreciate those of you who support women’s leadership and liberation. I hope you continue subscribing, listening, and uplifting women’s voices. Be an ally to women. Educate yourself on women’s issues. Speak up and defend women. Encourage and support women to take up leadership roles and follow their dreams. They have answers and gifts that are needed right now. Empowering women is good for men too. We make up 50% of the population; so of course the whole world will rise, when structures uplift women instead of oppress them.
Women’s circles and collectives are acts of revolution. Following your dreams—writing that book, starting that business, building that garden, leading that women’s circle—defies the voices that tell us to stay small, grind ourselves down, and accept isolation and overwhelm as the norm.
The time is now. We can’t wait while the world is burning. We have the tools: radical self-love, sisterhood, plant medicine, acts of service, community, breath work, journaling, singing, dancing, writing, phone banking, making art, making music, making change—big and small. Anything can set us free if we set the right intentions, ask the right questions, and trust our intuition. We can give back in ways that energize and uplift us instead of depleting us.
Because joy is a form of resistance. Self-love and sisterhood are revolutionary. Healing is an act of rebellion.

More on why your dreams are important:
The time for the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word struggle from you attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration. We are the ones we've been waiting for.

Go for it!
I can feel your passion for this.
I love the idea of the Dream Circle and experience this on Substack and amongst my small circle of female friends
Supportive and inspiring community
Sisterhood so powerful, so necessary. Rise up!
